Developing program

High-acuity & IOP pathways.
More support without hospitalization.

Localized pathways for people who do not require hospitalization but need substantially more structure, supervision, therapeutic intensity, and clinical support than standard outpatient care provides.

The program in context

There is a critical space between weekly care and a hospital.

Intensive outpatient programs and other higher-intensity outpatient models can provide the structure a person needs while allowing them to remain connected to family, school, work, and ordinary life.

But even when these programs exist, they may be centralized far from the communities that need them, geographically difficult to reach, culturally disconnected, or designed without the needs of specific populations in mind.

Thryve is exploring how IOP and other intensive outpatient models can enter individual communities through localized points of access—with the right licensed organizations providing care and Thryve building the community, partnership, and access structure around them.

01

Outpatient intensity

More therapeutic structure, supervision, and clinical support without defaulting to hospitalization.

02

Localized access

Models that can enter communities instead of requiring every person to travel to one distant centralized program.

03

Culturally attuned design

Program structure responsive to the population, relationships, and practical realities around the person.

The model taking shape

From an identified gap
to a working pathway.

01

Identify the missing level

Understand where standard outpatient care is not enough and hospitalization is not the appropriate answer.

02

Find the right clinical partner

Work with licensed organizations equipped to deliver IOP and other higher-intensity outpatient care.

03

Bring the model closer

Develop localized points of access that connect community relationships to intensive clinical support.

Building the right table

Who Thryve is
bringing together.

Thryve leads the program-building and access work. Licensed clinical care is delivered through appropriately licensed provider partners.

Build the next pathway

Bring higher-intensity outpatient care closer.

Clinical programs, health systems, and community partners can work with Thryve to develop localized high-acuity pathways.
