A community-based psychiatry program connecting people across New York State to evaluation, medication management, and ongoing follow-through through telehealth and trusted in-person access points.
The program in context
Psychiatry should not begin with a maze.
The Psychiatry Program was built around a gap the community already knew: people were ready for help, but calls went unanswered, referrals stalled, insurance narrowed the options, and too many families were left to navigate the next step alone.
Thryve created one clear point of access around that gap. A person, family member, therapist, provider, school, or community organization can begin the same pathway. Thryve helps move the referral, supports insurance and Medicaid navigation, and keeps the connection visible as care moves forward.
Psychiatric care takes place through licensed medical partners. Thryve connects the program around them—community relationships, referral access, program development, coordination, and follow-through—so the experience does not end with a phone number.
How people can enter
One request can begin through the individual, a family member, therapist, provider, school, or community organization.
What stays connected
Therapists, caregivers, mentors, and other trusted supports can remain part of the pathway when appropriate.
Why this program exists
The gap is not only finding a provider.
It is everything that breaks before care begins.
Calls go unanswered
Families and referrers do not know where to begin or who will respond.
Referrals stall
A name or phone number is shared, but nobody owns what happens next.
Coverage gets in the way
Insurance, Medicaid, affordability, and availability narrow the options.

The people already supporting the individual lose visibility once the referral is made.
